Though the 93rd Annual Academy Awards may have been pared back this year, nothing could stop the stars from sparkling. Glamour came back to the real-life red carpet with some fabulous jewellery.
Nominees and winners brought bags of sparkle in the form of diamonds, diamonds and more diamonds.
The biggest jewellery statement of the night was Zendaya’s $6 million Bulgari diamonds. Her necklace, from the Italian house’s upcoming high jewellery collection featured two diamond collars with a removable center brooch and tassel, complete with a yellow, six-carat cushion-cut diamond.
Vanessa Kirby, the Best Actress nominee wore a stunning 27.45ct Cartier necklace comprising 1,112 white diamonds, all worn backwards so that the sizeable oval-diamond drop draped down her back.
Glenn Close accessorised her Armani gown with Kwiat pendant earrings with 33-carats of pear shape diamonds, set in platinum and Tiara Thomas looked stunning in a perfectly placed diamond lariat with floral centerpiece.
The diamonds weren’t just for the female attendees, either. Daniel Kaluuya, broke convention by draping a diamond Cartier necklace over a casual black t-shirt.
There was a dazzling array of chandelier earrings on display, Angela Bassett and Olivia Colman, wore glamorous shoulder-dusters by Chopard, whilst Maria Bakalova channelled Old Hollywood in a diamond riviere necklace and chandelier earrings by Moussaieff.
Their were some great statement rings on show as well, we loved how Emerald Fennell captured the colours of her floral Gucci gown with white gold and morganite earrings and a 13.97 carat purple tourmaline ring by her father, Theo Fennell.
Best Actress nominee Andra Day styled her fabulous Vera Wang dress that literally made her look like an Oscar with a selection of stunning cocktail rings by the American jewellery house Schlumberger.
