Jewellery & Watch Repairs & Valuations
In order to create a safe environment for all, we are offering showroom appointments.
If you would like to have a chat with us in-store to discuss repairs or get a valuation, please book an appointment online in advance. For those who would prefer to stay home we are also offering zoom consultations.
Like anything you wear everyday your jewellery will experience wear and tear. We recommend servicing your jewellery bi-annually at least, particularly rings and bracelets. By treating it to a re-polish and having all settings checked and maintained you will prolong the life of your jewellery and it will be returned to you looking like new.
Whilst with us your jewellery is insured to its current market retail price. We endeavour to return all repairs as soon as possible. We will keep clients advised of estimates and approval will be confirmed before any work is undertaken. Client's will be made aware of timescales when repairs are undertaken.
Fine time pieces require care. Generally manufacturers suggest their watches are serviced every 3 years.
We are able to send TAGHeuer, Bell&Ross, Bremont, Omega and Longines back to their parent companies for servicing and repair. Older watches can be sent to our watchmaker for evaluation and service.
It is important to keep your jewellery and watches protected. Insurance goes a long way to achieving that. Most insurance companies require up to date valuations.
At Galio we are delighted to keep any items bought from us since 2003 up to date.
For items that we haven’t supplied, we are delighted to offer 2 levels of service from Independent Certified
1. A registered appraiser visits us regularly, they come and assess your piece and provide a valuation. This is charged at a percentage of the value.
2. We can send your piece to the registered appraiser, it will be gone for 2 weeks and will be sent back with a full retail valuation. This is charged at a flat rate, please call for detaIls or pop in for your quotation. We would be delighted to go though your options with you and come up with a proposal that best suits your needs.
