The Bremont Supernova collection was created as a bold evolution of Bremont’s design and engineering. Inspired by the futuristic aesthetic, forms, and structures of modern space technology, the collection’s advanced materials and uncompromising construction combine to form watches that are built to operate beyond familiar limits.
The Supernova Stephen Hawking watch, the Bremont Supernova Hawking, extends that language with a symbolic tribute to the work of the professor himself. Crafted in 41mm ultra black DLC-treated 904L stainless steel, it uses angular geometry, multi-layered construction, and a multi-faceted decahedral black ceramic bezel which mirrors the darkness of black holes.
Every surface has a role to play. The decahedral bezel, angular case, and integrated bracelet are finished in deep black, with faceted forms that catch light rather than simply absorbing it. The result is a watch that feels connected to Hawking’s work, evoking the depth and mystery of the black holes he helped us to understand.
Meteorite sub-dials from the cosmos
At the 3 and 9 o’clock positions, the Supernova Hawking features real meteorite sub-dials, each one carrying its own natural crystalline pattern. This detail strengthens the link between the timepiece and deep space, with the meteorite surfaces giving the impression of distant planets suspended in the dark vastness of the cosmos. Furthermore, because no two pieces of meteorite are identical, each dial has its own natural character.

As an additional showing of admiration for Professor Hawking’s work, the black hole entropy equation is printed on the dial itself. These features combine into a fitting tribute for a physicist who spent his life exploring the universe at its largest and most mysterious scales - a true fragment of space, set into a mechanical instrument for the measuring of time.

Engineering with purpose
The Supernova Hawking is more than a symbolic object. It remains, firmly, a Bremont tool watch. Inside is the chronometer-rated BC77 movement, running at 28,800 beats per hour and offering a 62-hour power reserve. The watch features central hour and minute hands, chronograph centre sweep seconds, a small seconds counter at 9 o’clock, a 30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o’clock and a date display at 6 o’clock.

The case is built from full DLC black 904L stainless steel with a black ceramic bezel ring, while the domed anti-reflective sapphire crystal is designed for durability and clarity. Water resistance is rated to 100 metres, and the watch is available on either a quick-release integrated bracelet or quick-release rubber strap with deployment clasp.

Turn the watch over and the inspiration behind it comes full circle. The exhibition case back features a black hole-inspired motif, framing the decorated rotor and movement beneath on full display.
It is a fitting final detail, as the movement remains visible through the darkness, making it a mechanical expression of the same idea Hawking brought to physics - that black holes are not unknowable, but complex and fascinating structures if we can look beneath the veil.
